Please well with Novel scenarios?

Ok so the two regular girls and two regular boys could each have crushes on each other. The same with the cheerleaders and jocks. Sounds normal right? That's where it stops. There is a party at one of the Cheerleaders house, and one of the normal girls sneaks in. She stands shy in the corner, and decides that if no one is going to talk to her, she'll just go explore the house. She finds one of the jocks in a bedroom, looking at a picture of a previous girlfriend that moved away. she asks him what is wrong and being depressed and not y at the moment, tells her. She comforts him, and eventually becomes his crutch and girlfriend. This messes up the balance with the cheerleaders jocks and regular kids and starts a rampage of kids trying to snatch the jocks up when they are depressed. in the end the cheerleaders and jocks realize popular isn't all its cracked up to be, and blend with the regular kids, except they are still cheerleaders and find happiness in non jock boys.
