Is shrimp a good treat for a dog on a barf diet?

I feed my husky a BARF diet too and the farthest I have gone is fish. A friend of mine told me that crustaceans of which shrimp is a member of is bad for dogs and cats. so just to stay on the safe side I would stay away and maybe try some fish like salmon or grouper. good luck and after all these petfood recalls arent you glad that our 4 legged friends are safe and happy with their food...more power and good luck...John
