How long will it be until Muslims as a group stand as one voice and denounce the hate in the Koran?

There has never been a united Muslim protest against those Islamic fundamentalists who are claimed to have hijacked Islam. Why not? Where are the voices of those Muslims who will negate and disavow those teachings by the mainstream Ulema and say in no uncertain terms that they WILL NOT allow the fundamentalists to define what Islam is, and how it's presented to the West? There are more than 2,000 mosques in the US and more than 50% preach hate, intolerance and bigotry, where are the protests against these houses of hate and intolerance? When will the Umma gather as one and finally make a stand against the hate? Until the voices of reason and reformation become louder and more powerful than the fundamentalists I see nothing done in this regard. Please prove me wrong!
