Do you prefer soft pastels or oil pastels? Do you like them as a medium?

I prefer the soft pastels. I find them easier to work with and blend, but they are messier than the oils. It also depends on the look you're trying to achieve. Soft pastels always give me more of a toned-down, or watercolor look, whereas the oil pastels give me a more vibrant and colorful look. But that's just me. Everyone has different techniques.
